A Paris Hilton purse dog, this isn’t. But in China, at a price of $600,000, the Tibetan Mastiff has become a new means for the wealthy to exhibit their status. Weighing up to 200 pounds, this breed is valued for it’s ancestry of protecting Tibetan monasteries.
I don’t know if their holy ancestry has any real impact on the breed today. But I can say that the one in my neighborhood inspires my dog to bow down and submit before it.
The dog in the photo was delivered to the woman with a motorcade of 30 Mercedes, all included in the price tag.
At $600,000, this breed now makes the $3.2 Million Dog Collar seem less outrageous.
